FAQ LIBRARY
What would you like to know?
How do you handle receiving?
Items are checked into the warehouse and assigned a unique registration label. When inspection is requested, the team unwraps the item, photographs it, uploads the record to the warehouse management system, repacks it, and places it into storage. Published receiving hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; confirm hours with your assigned facility.
What can we expect from storage locations?
Published facilities offer climate-controlled storage, security systems, truck access, loading docks, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Visible carrier damage is noted on receiving paperwork and documented in the inventory record. Confirm facility-specific capabilities for your project.
How is installation handled?
White-glove service may include unwrapping, placement, light wipe-down, property protection, and debris removal. Hoisting and art hanging are available by request in appropriate markets. Share all building requirements, including certificate-of-insurance needs, before scheduling.
Who coordinates installation scheduling?
The team contacts the project representative after merchandise is received to coordinate delivery. Published guidance asks for at least 48 hours’ notice, while nationwide delivery timing may vary by lane and market. Your confirmed schedule and service agreement control.
Who will call before delivery?
An assigned project manager or scheduling contact coordinates details leading up to installation. For larger installs, the team may conduct a call in advance to confirm access, scope, expectations, and last-minute requests.
Do I need valuation protection?
Elite Anywhere publishes storage and delivery valuation options. Available coverage, declared values, charges, deductibles, exclusions, and claim procedures should be reviewed before inventory is received or transported. Valuation is not the same as general property insurance.
What happens if an item is damaged in custody?
The item is documented and evaluated for an appropriate repair or claim pathway under the applicable service and valuation terms. Repair may be attempted before replacement when reasonable and permitted. Timing and resolution depend on the item and governing agreement.
What happens if damage occurs during installation?
On-site damage should be documented and photographed promptly. The team coordinates with the owner or designer on evaluation, repair, and next steps under the applicable service and valuation terms.
What does valuation mean?
Valuation establishes the carrier or warehouse provider’s contractual liability for loss or damage while goods are in its care, custody, or control. You may be asked to declare item values and select an option before receiving or service begins. Review the written terms carefully.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
An authorized adult generally needs to be present to provide access, direct placement, inspect the completed delivery, and sign documentation. If someone else will receive on your behalf, confirm authorization with the scheduling team in advance.
What if furniture will not fit through the doorway or hallway?
The crew may assess access before moving the item inside. If safe and authorized, disassembly and reassembly may be possible for an added charge. Specialty access, hoisting, or rescheduling may be required when an item cannot be moved through the planned route.
What if furniture is damaged during delivery?
Inspect the item and note visible damage before signing whenever possible. Photograph the issue and notify the team promptly. Resolution follows the applicable delivery, valuation, retailer, and claim terms.
Can I return furniture after white-glove delivery?
Return eligibility is determined by the retailer or seller. White-glove delivery does not itself set the product return policy, and return transportation, handling, packaging, or storage may involve additional charges.
